Fantastic crime/thriller novel set in Ireland, about the investigation of Jack's death, thought to be a suicide, and the cold case of his mother's death twenty years earlier.

This was kind of a slow start for me, I couldn’t really get into it. I found the dynamics at the police station to be really annoying and seemed over the top for the dramatic factor. The story picks up about the half way point and the last quarter of it is quite good for a thriller. I’m not sure I’ll continue on with the series but I’m glad it ended better than it began.

I really enjoyed the narration on this.

This book pulled me right in and by chapter 29 my heart was racing. I didn't know what to expect next. The suspense factor was amazing and it was twist after twist.

It was fine. It's been a few weeks and I don't really remember much of it at all, unfortunately. I also found the main book description to be wildly different from the book. It wasn't compelling enough to be memorable.

Really enjoyed this, especially the Irish audio narration. Well paced, interesting. The end was a bit dramatic and took away from my overall enjoyment, but I'll still look forward to the next book.

A nice quote from this book that definitely applies to a lot of things. “They apply today's thinking to things that happened twenty, thirty years ago, and they just stoke up outrage”
