This is a really good book. Gordon pulls off a quietly inspiring narrative, through humorous anecdotes about getting herself fit, mentally and physically. She pull you off the couch and out into Hyde Park. You'll giggle all the way up to the seriously heartwarming ending which will likely make you cry. She's done a great job of condensing what it feels like to get better into less than 300 pages.

If someone told me I would be engrossed in a book about running, I would tell you to jog on but by the time I finished this book I was already downloading couch to 10km (again..for the 3rd time).
Glorious writing, humour and the royals... you can’t go wrong.

Love love loved this book, inspiring, laugh out loud funny and completely bonkers but totally sane at the same time.

DNF @ 27%, by which point the author had been for one half hearted run and banged on about her mental health ad infinitum. Doesn't do what it says on the cover.

I wasn’t sure what to make of this as I haven’t any of her other books, nor did I actually know who Bryony Gordon was! An interesting tale of how she came to run the London Marathon and it really make you question your own mental health. As Bryony says, I think everyone struggles at some point, whether it be feeling anxious about something or depression. Just being overwhelmed after a day with my children and craving adult time has a small affect on your mental health.
