My friend Krista suggested I read this book since she knew I enjoyed the Kerrelyn Sparks "Love at Stake" series. I didn't like this book at all. So much so that I forced myself to read it in a night so I could be done with it. I suppose there are some interesting ideas in it regarding vampires, but it just didn't interest me. And the smut in this book was rather...unromantic. Kinda in your face and such. The author did have some good writing moments, comparisons that I enjoyed. But overall, just unimpressive.

Eh. It was okay. Filler for those of us who'd rather read J R Ward's Blackdagger Brotherhood series.

This was so exciting to read! I picked it up and that was it... I was all in and pretty much inhaled it! I loved Dante and Tess, the other warriors, and the world the author created. Can't wait to read more.

Full review to come.

Goed boek, maar niet erg vernieuwend na het eerste deel. ([b:Kiss of Midnight|704043|Kiss of Midnight (Midnight Breed, #1)|Lara Adrian|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1327884885s/704043.jpg|690332]).

I liked Tess and Dante. I read this faster than the first book, which means I liked it better. I think it could have went further than it did - I would have liked to known a little more.

I didn't really care for Chase, but maybe he'll develop more in the future.

Again, I love this series! Dante is the playboy charmer who will never settle down until he meets Tess. Tess has always known that she is different from everyone else but never knew why until she meets Dante. This is a suspense and action packed book two in the series! Cant wait to start the next book!
