The fourth - and, to date, final - entry in [a:L.G. Estrella|7406246|L.G. Estrella|https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/user/u_50x66-632230dc9882b4352d753eedf9396530.png]'s 'Unconventional Heroes' series, which came across largely (to me, at least) as three or even four books in some, with distinct cuts between each of the various sections as follows:

1) Rescuing a princess from a powerful crime lord
2) Dealing with a rampaging horde of goblins that are about to overrun a dwarf kingdom
3) Recovering the lost Sky City from a different dimension
4) The start of a war, fought over the possession of that Sky City in the first instance.

AS in the previous three entries in the series, this also seems to end with Timmy's, ummm, 'entourage' expanding ever and ever larger - I would not be at all surprised to find who was a secondary character here to become a primary character in further entries.

Of which, I assume (and hope) there will be more ... ?

The story is nice and the characters are interesting and funny.
The writing style on the other hand is quite hard to get through. Everything is repeated so many times, across the series, the book and even the same chapter.
Sometimes you'll finde the same concept repeated not even two sentences away. It makes reading through the book quite slow, and I felt that I could have skipped roughly half the book without missing anything with this redundacy in place.

I have loved this series, the characters, setting, adventures, narrator and I can honestly say even with knowing this is a series and it was building to something I was not expecting things to start getting to this scale. I can feel some of the light heartedness of the adventures going away and things getting a bit more serious. Also, I think the cast of characters has gotten so immense the narrator is starting to slip on a few of the voices but nothing too distracting. So much happened in this one that I might have to relisten to it. This one felt more intense than the previous books in the series, excited to see where it goes from here!

Still by far my most recommended series to anyone asking for a fun read!
