I’ve been curious Sergei for a while so I was happy to finally read his book. He was such an interesting character. I loved the connection that he had with Angelina, but there a lot of amazing secondary characters as well.

I was highly anticipating the story of Sergei and I think the chemistry between him and the female main character was amazing!
As always with Neva Altaj, strong touch her and you die vibes which I loved.
Very entertaining mafia romance with Stockholm Syndrome (he saves her but also keeps her)
The side characters in this book gave so much more depth and interest to the story

Ok yeah not my cup of tea….I do love intense main male characters but I felt like something was missing? I think I’m done with this series for now; it’s not bad, just not my jam.

Side note, I seriously hope Roman is compensated for all the shit his team puts him through on a daily basis lmao.

This was good. I loved learning about Sergei because I've been curious about him since the first book. I liked the bond between Sergei and Felix as well. I also liked the way Angelina helped Sergei with his PTSD and really stood up for him in a sense. I'm looking forward to reading the next book, it was set up really well. I'm really enjoying  this series so far.

This series keeps getting better and better! Neva’s writing continues to amaze me each time I pick up her books.

Sergei is a member of the bratva and Roman’s half-brother. At 14, he was scouted and trained to become a killer, and because of the missions he went on, he suffers from PTSD. Sergei kills without remorse and therefore, to the people who don’t really know, he can appear unhinged.

Angelina is the daughter of the former leader of the Mexican cartel and arranged to marry the new leader. Angelina, not wanting the marriage or this to be her life, runs away. When Angelina is discovered barely alive by Sergei, Sergei instantly becomes protective of her, taking her back to his home and nursing her back to health.

We get a glimpse of Sergei and Angelina meeting for the first time in the second book and I couldn’t wait to read that scene from Sergei’s perspective and what transpired afterwards.

Sergei is just a normal guy who just reactions to situations differently from everyone else because of his past training and Angelina accepts that. She loves him for who he is and makes him feel like he isn’t the crazy person everyone sees him as. The development of their relationship, though a little fast, was beautiful. I especially loved how Angelina would help Sergei through his episodes instead of sitting back and doing nothing. Angelina doesn’t see him as a crazy person, she sees him as himself.

I also loved the relationship and the banter between Sergei and Felix (Albert) and Sergei and Roman. And also Mimi! Overall really loved this book!
