I received this in a book exchange and promptly sat down to devour the whole thing. It’s not a novel or biography but a book filled with the secrets of dozens of people who took the tome to jot them down on a post card and mail them to the author. This pictorial representation of these cards- hand written by people of all ages is moving and provides a glimpse into loves touched by pain and longing and love. The perfect antidote to the times and a reminder we are more alike than we know. Recommend highly.

Many of these postcards are so creative. I was annoyed that some of them stated that the person had a secret, but then that person didn't share it. The whole point is to put your anonymous secret on a postcard!

I read this years ago in college, but I just picked it back up the other day. It's still amazing to see people so freely release their secrets.

People send in anonymous art postcards of their secrets, which Warren posts on a blog and in this series of books. They can be both voyeuristic and universalizing, pulling you out of your own experiences and into the secret inner lives of strangers.
