 Cute, Fun, Silly

I really enjoyed this story. Best friend’s older brother that she had been crushing on FOREVER turns into her forever man and she gets to be legally sisters with said BFF!

They have some rocky times to get through but they found their way and it was beautiful ❤️

Vegas wedding, wake up hung over married.
Younger sisters best friend.
The Hero is in a band but is not a man-whore, in fact he firmly believes in relationships.
The heroine catches her boyfriend out cheating prior to getting together with the Hero.
Although married, no memory of night together their relationship is a bit slow burn.
Ex drama on both sides, worse for the Hero.
Secondary characters that either have had a book or have potential for their own book.
HEA.
Epilogue.
No intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine.

Spoiler ahead.

One thing that did concern me the Hero and heroine are so drunk they don't remember their night together though they definitely had sex with no condom.
But the heroine has a few days ago found out her boyfriend was cheating and she's on the pill.
So what about STDs if the ex cheated? Pregnancy from her ex?
These issues weren't even on the radar. No mention of getting tested and she moved on quickly anyway.

Not what I expected

I downloaded this book because it flooded my FB feed and the blurb made it sound fun. It had a few moments early on, but mostly it’s angsty and frustrating. So much could have been cleared up by people using their words and being mature adults. A villain no one sees coming, although I knew something would mess things up. No consequence seems to happen for this person.

I almost stopped reading around 65% and again around 77%. I was rolling my eyes more and more. I finished because I had hope. Alas, the story did not improve.

I’m giving this book 2 stars because the beginning had promise.

I almost 3 starred this book for one reason. It claims to be a "Rom Com."

It WASN'T.

There were a few good one-liners but I went into this book looking for a light, gigglefest and instead I was met with angst, drama, and very few giggles.

Don't get me wrong. I 4 starred it because I did enjoy the story. I loved both Adam and Emily but between Bree's bullshit and the total obsession with saying their feelings weren't real for almost 70% of the book, I grew exhausted. Regardless, I did like the story and I'm glad I read it.

But I don't consider it a rom com and that let me down.

I came into this book completely blind to the MFB world but that was okay! This book can be read as a complete standalone which is great!

Emily has just broken up with her boyfriend, so what better than a weekend in Vegas with her best friend to see her rockstar brother perform. Emily has always had a crush on Adam but has never acted on it because he was in a longterm relationship. However, now they are both single in Sin City, with a lot of chemistry, what can go wrong?

Answer, a lot. Waking up naked next to Adam, with matching tattoos and wedding rings is not the way they thought their night end, especially as neither of them remember it. However, after a video of their wedding goes viral, and with a reboot of their reality show starting filming the next week, Adam asks Emily if they can stay married for six months. Cue drama, miscommunication and a lot of built up sexual tension between Adam and Emily, you have yourself a great rockstar, best friend's brother romance!

I love this story, it pulled me in right away and I was hooked. I needed to know how it ended, so ended up reading it all in one go. I always love an accidental wedding in Vegas story, but add in the rockstar and bff brother element and you have yourself a winner! You could feel the chemistry between them just reading the book and I loved the side characters too, I will definitely be going back and reading the other band member's stories! Adam and Emily's story was sweet, sexy, funny, light-hearted, and heart-warming. Definitely recommend!

4 “Buttercup” Stars

Waking Up Married is a fast-laced, low drama and enjoyable read.

Emily has just suffered a breakup and to get her mind off that, she is now accompanying her best friend on a trip to Vegas. And her best friend so happens to be the younger sister of the older brother Emily has crushed on forever. And in her eyes that’s all she’ll ever be to him, his little sister’s best friend.

Adam is a member and the guitarist of the band MFB. He isn’t your typical playboy rockstar. He’s sweet, funny and had me swooning and smiling nonstop. He’s just an overall good guy.

On a drunken night in Vegas Emily and Adam wake up married. Both don’t remember the night before or the events that brought them to marrying each other. Now, Emily is thrown into the spotlight with the guy she’s had a crush on for a long time and is developing serious feelings for, but at the same time who she doesn’t really know. But as Emily and Adam try to navigate through their marriage, they start getting to know each other better and Adam starts developing real feelings for Emily. And who knew that that one drunken night in Vegas would’ve been the beginning of a true and promising romance.

Waking Up Married was an accidental/fake marriage, best friend’s older brother and rockstar romance that was a lighthearted and fun read. Emily and Adam’s story was sweet and brought the smiles. It was also a treat getting to catch up with the other members of MFB. All in all a very solid read.

I'm such a huge fan of Lisa Suzanne’s rock star romances. I can always count on her to deliver an unputdownable, funny, feel-good romance, which is I read her books time and time again. And once again, she has penned another winner with Waking Up Married. It was right up my alley, and I loved everything about it. An imaginative plot coupled with endearing characters in a sweet and sexy romance that is both heart-tugging and heartwarming. This was pure rock star perfection from start to finish.

I loved Adam and Emily’s story! It hooked me right until the end. I couldn’t put it down. Blending the tropes of rockstar romance with best friend’s sibling and accidental/fake marriage made for an addictive and super fun read. Every character were all relatable and endearing, making this story a sweet, sexy, funny, light-hearted, and heart-warming.

Simply romantic and simply entertaining. Once again, Lisa Suzanne creates plots that warm the hearts and tugs at the emotions. I absolutely loved all of the subplots of the book as well and look forward to the next one.

Cheesy but cute

Drunk night in Vegas leads to a drunk marriage test neither one remember. Good chemistry between the characters. Wanted a deeper connection and a close to all the plots.
