3.5 ⭐️ ‘s : The love story is interesting. Some of the dependency can get boring, but that is with any romance. I kept reading because I love that this story shares any and everyone is capable of loving.

The writing style is good and the relationships in the story come off the page as though they could be real.

I was very sure what this book would be about due to its title. Michael is happy, so they are getting married. I was wrong, when it started with a story about Khai, i was wondering how that was relevant to Michael. Turned out not to be. The story is about Khai, and how his mom got a bride for him from Vietnam. The amount miscommunication in combination cultural differences is staggering, but still very cute to read. However, one proper communicaton moment could have shortened this book significantly (hence the 4 stars).

3.5 stars...a lovely story that I thoroughly enjoyed, but not quite as much as I enjoyed The Kiss Quotient!

A young mixed race woman born and raised in Vietnam gets the opportunity to go to America to marry a handsome stranger and build a happy life for herself and her daughter. The only catch is her prospective groom doesn't believe he is capable of love and has no interest in getting married. A very cute story with an autistic hero who is often baffled but always well-meaning and an unfailingly kind heroine who discover they might be exactly what the other needed.

I haven't even finished this book yet so who knows whether reading the end will change this whole thing but I love this book, it's just so cute. Both MCs are genuinely sweet and endearing and I love the way it's written and the insight into different cultures with the Vietnamese family and also the way the autistic hero is written. I love him, I just want to give them both a hug. Also a genuinely funny book which is not as common an occurrence as you would think.

*Update* Yesss, I loved this book upon finishing it. The end is maybe a little melodramatic with a wedding crashing situation but I don't mind a bit of romantic flair now and then. The scene where Khai's brother comes over and explains to him that he's sad is so. cute. I need better vocabulary but that will have to do, my heart just can't cope. I suspect the third book in this series will centre around Quan (Khai's brother) and I am very much looking forward to it. The scene where Quan and Michael (from The Kiss Quotient ) explains female orgasms to Khai is also a standout.
