I was unsure how this was going to stand up to the prior three book. I didn't think I was going to like it as much. I'm happy to say I was proven wrong with this friends-enemies-lovers book. It was a little slow at the start, but about a third to halfway in man did it pick up. The chemistry was sizzling. Highly highly recommend!

Slow to start and I really miss the Shadowshine story, but it picks up and I'm glad I powered through the first third to finish

A great continuation of the story

Enjoyed the continuation of characters, made it easier for me to read with having the original characters mentioned so often. It was an enjoyable hearing more about Angel and Reese.

Great easy reading

Absolutely loved it!
Love getting the different views and watching the characters grow. My heart is full even if it is tainted with a little sadness

So fun

I loved Angel in the Shadow Beast books, so it's been great fun reading her story with Reece. Learning about the desert world has also been fascinating. I only wish it was a real place that I could visit, because the desert is my happy place. And with swirling sand rivers and different coloured sands??? Heaven. It's magical.

Reece and Angel (aka Lale) are fire together and watching their hatred transform whilst saving the worlds...ugh. So amazing. And spicy times 100.

I loved visiting with Shadowshine again and all their friends and can't wait to read the next books whenever they're released. This is such a fun world.

To think centuries passed between Reece and angel but the love was forever he only thing that didn't make sense to me was the fact that Reece blamed angel, but she did not reciprocate, she blamed herself, which just made him look more like an asshole. Also OMG MERAS PREGNANT!!!!! I how this was not one of those series that took the main characters away from the story. Westville have updates people.
