The series continues to be a nice re-read as an adult but being so long since I first read them its like its my first time. The only thing I picked up on though is that the fisherboy from the previous books (1 and 3) has a different name in this book even though its the same person. Alf has now become James. It'll be interesting if he reappears in the series again and which name he has.

The Famous Five is a comforting series for me to read, reminding me of my childhood and an easy mystery to enjoy. This particular story of Five on Kirrin Island Again is probably my favourite, I enjoy the historical setting with it set in the 40s I think(?) and it’s the one I’ve reread a few times. Even gave my Nana my copy and she ended up reading the whole series!
