I would say that this is a cozy book. We get a lot of slice of life scenes within the book, which I really enjoyed. It was as well very atmospherically written. I haven't read a book in a while where the autumn was so palpable.

This turned into a 'Did Not Finish'. Too much romantic, lovey dovey stuff. He was over protective, over bearing and possessive. She was a damsel in distress and got carried everywhere. No thank you. Not for me.

4 Stars - This was, I'd say, mostly about establishing the world and politics behind the rest of the series. There was some magic. There was intrigue. There were some answers. But this was not a complete story arc. The arc must be the trilogy together. This was, however, enjoyable. I really liked the first 2 seasons of the series. I didn't see the third or the second half of the second because of funny stuff with the tv channel. But I'm going to read the books before I try the series in full on streaming.
