I cannot make you understand. I cannot make anyone understand what is happening inside me. I cannot even explain it to myself.

Oh Kafka, I see you, man I see you. Gregor turning into an insect was one of the greatest metaphors in the history of literature and you can't argue on that.

This was obviously weird. But since I’m reading it for school, we’re doing all the metaphorical meanings behind everything, so the whole story starts to become much more interesting. I wouldn’t have enjoyed this book at all if it weren’t for that.

Also Kafka’s daddy issues are showing.

I'm deeply disturbed by how little Gregor's family truly cared for him. And how they got over (in their prospective) the GIANT FUCKING BEETLE'S DEATH so fast.. like that's the weirdest part was no one question how that fucking happened? And I got so mad when they said "If only he could understand us"- WELL YEAH?! HAVE YOU EVEN TRIED TALKING TO HIM?? That's that. This is a book I'd recommend to people like my dad or teachers that would go into a hour long talk that I really enjoy sometimes.
