This was a cute story but fell a bit flat for me. I found the characters quite one-dimensional and surface level which meant I wasn't that invested in what was going on. I also felt like the romance was shoe-horned in and might not have even been needed. I did enjoy the atmosphere of Scotland at Christmas time and the wintery vibes though so 2.5 stars

This was a huge favorite ! It was so adorable. It's the perfect scroogey lead getting their redemption book with a lovely family reunion, a hot romance and a happy ending. I loved it, it's very Christmassy ! I'm definitely going to read more Sarah Morgan books. Also I have an amazing fancast for this book ^^
Moderate: Sexual content

Cute lil festive read
Very much what it says on the tin
Not the best writing style, a lot of the inner monologues were very repetitive but the setting was cute

What a lovely Christmas story! I’ve read a few books by this author now but I will never get tired of the fantastic family portrayals, and the lovely examples of supportive husbands! I also immediately want to book a wintry stay in a Scottish manor, but alas, that may be a bit out of reach this year. Regardless, this is exactly what I look for in a Christmas romance novel (who knew a nerdy and awkward male lead would work so well!) and it had a heaping side of family drama and reunion to fit in with the season!
