I think out of the four I've already read, Origin is definitely the best one! I loved all the different plot twists in this book and the development of each of the characters. I've grown to like Daemon and Kat even more than I already did and I'm so excited for the grand finale!

I'm going to sleep on this and get back to you in the morning.

The next day...

5 'My boyfriend's back and you're gonna be in trouble!" Stars

I guess it's time I confess something. If you've read Opal then you'll know what I'm talking about. I'm the reason why Blake set up Daemon & Katy. I wanted Daemon for myself so I had to get Katy out of the picture. I didn't know he'd risk his life to save the dumb girl! Sorry, guys. Woooo!!! Feels good to get that off my chest. Jk! I totes love Katy! Now for Origin talk. Really grateful to Jennifer for not making me want to blow chunks at the end of this book. Don't get me wrong. I was still a bit shell shocked with that ending, just not to the point of wanting to off myself and leave a note saying "it's all Jennifer Armentrout's fault." Didn't mean to go all dark on you guys, but the book 3 cliffy was THAT severe. Any who, so many good, exciting, swoony, and even sad feelings were had while on this ride. That Vegas scene BLEW MY MIND! Couldn't you just picture that on the big screen?! I sure as hell could! This circus was totally worth the price of admission and as long as JLA is the ringleader, I'll always get tickets!

P.S. I LOVE YOU, DAEMON BLACK!!!

Daemon is still a dick but this book was so much better than the previous installments. The action was tighter and I was happy with the alternating POVs.

Also: Luc! And surprisingly, Archer! Who’d have guessed it. Not me, but lord he checks my boxes. orz

This was the first book in the series were the story was being told from both Damon and Katy's POV. The author took a chance by changing things up, but it works marvelously. It really helped the story feel more well rounded. The two sided POV made me love both of these characters even more. This book sent me threw a range of emotions, which I liked. I'm all about really getting into a story.

First off, I liked that Armentrout didn't keep Daemon and Katy apart for the whole book. I have to be honest, I was nervous that the entire story would be Daemon trying to rescue Katy. His POV from the outside and her POV from inside the DOD being tortured. Thank goodness that's not how the story went.

Do you remember that feeling of first love? You both against the world? Well, that's Daemon and Katy, literally. I loved how grown up they both seem in this installment, even with cheese ball comments here and there, they have really grown up a lot. The subject matter is so intense at times, the comic relief was welcome and timed well. They are in a serious and very real situation and they both have to grow up real fast to deal with it.

I just adore Deamon's character more and more. I swear the guy speaks the way that all women wish their man would speak to them. He fawns over Katy and it's so cute. In my personal opinion, it's not over kill, it just goes to show how enamored he is with her and she him.

The plot with Daedalus has gotten even more twisted. You go in thinking you know who the bad guy is, but then I started to question things. But after finishing the book, when it comes down to it I almost feel that it's who's the most bad of the bad guys is who the world should worry about. And with that ending...it's hard to say who the humans should be scared of. Plus, just wait until you find out what a "Origin" is. I won't spoil it for you, but it does not follow the trend as the last books, so it's not a stone or tool which helps or hinders the half breeds or Luxen. Very interesting!

I don't know if I care for what's going on with Dawson and Beth, and their situation (I won't say what it is). But not only was it obvious to me right away, but it seems weird and a bit out of place. Especially since Beth has a few screws loose after her rescue from the DOD. Dawson was already a bit cray cray and now so is Beth, two crazies together. They are in love but they both need therapy, not something else...

Dee, Andrew, Ash and other Luxen and hybrids from the previous books get to make reappearances in this book. They have a purpose and it seems to flow. it was nice to see some resolution between Dee and Katy, even Ash seemed more at peace than usual. Throw in the new guy Archer, and I predict a very interesting subplot for Dee in the future.

I have to admit that I thought the ending could have been better. It wasn't a very strong cliffhanger. I saw it coming a mile away and it was disappointing because I like a to be surprised. I need to have that shock value if I'm going to have to wait nearly a year for the next book. I want that end to sit with me and keep me thinking about it until the next book until it comes out and I didn't get that this time. Even so, I'll still mark my calendar for the Summer 2014 release of Opposition.

Would I recommend this installment of the Lux series? Hell yes! The positives outweigh the negatives. If you enjoyed books 1-3, then this is a must read. You know you want to, you've probably already read it! If you're new to YA Alien books, try this series out. It's fun, quick and easy reading and pretty addictive.

Origin begins right after the end of Opal. Katy didn’t make it out of the compound and Daemon was forced to go on without her but he’s intent on getting her back. Daedalus who has captured Katy moves her across the country to their research and test facility hoping to draw Daemon out. What Daedalus is doing at the new compound is more than Katy could have imagined. With both the hybrid and Luxen dna they have created a new race called Origin’s who are stronger than the Luxen.

They claim to be testing Katy to see how she handles stress but as the tests continue to push her they put her up against a test that pushes her to the limits. When Daemon arrives at the facility they are shocked to be sharing a bathroom but when they quickly learn that Daedalus has a dark plan and only Daemon and Katy are exactly what they are looking for. Will they escape from Daedalus? Who is Archer a friend or foe? I’m trying to keep it short without revealing too much.

I love Katy she’s my perfect character when it comes to books I wish they were all nerdy book addicts like her. I also love Daemon he’s perfect for Katy in every way willing to risk everything to have her in his life. I also have always liked several of the supporting characters like Dee she makes smile and I hated seeing her sad but I see positives for her future. I also like Archer and Luc they are new unique characters that I hope to see more of in the next book.

I can’t believe only one book left I’m already sad to see it ending. Origin is the 4th installment in the Lux series but might be my favorite so far. I love all the twists that keep getting thrown at Katy and Daemon through the story they kept me on the edge waiting to see what would happen next. I think the author has done an amazing job of taking a bookish girl and giving her the man from her books who just happens to be an alien. This is my first alien series but I love it and can’t seem to get enough of Katy’s world. I honestly can’t say enough how much I love the characters they are so easy to connect with I see so much of myself in Katy aside from the fact my hubby isn’t an alien. It’s one of those series you can’t help falling in love with and finishing the book within one sitting. I’m looking forward to seeing how the next book will play out with the new twists. I’m even looking at it right now on my shelf. I highly recommend if you love paranormal romance that you give the Lux series a try. It’s my go to YA paranormal series plus we have sexy aliens how can it not be a win.

Wait a minute. That's it? That's how the book ends? Seriously? It was just starting to get good! Not fair!
What to say about Origin? hmmm... Well, after that horrible, terrible ending in Opal I had really high expectations for this book (like really, really, reaaaally high). Can't honestly say they were met. I understand that Katy and Daemon's relationship has become more serious, and whatnot, but I miss the snippy comebacks, the witty arguments. I liked them more when they hated each-other, they were so much more fun! It was nice seeing them being all cuddly and lovey-dovey, but that's not really how Daemon and Katy should be.
We learn more about what Luc really is (so cool), and Archer is introduced to the Lux saga.
I can't say it was one of my favorite books, they were either fighting or escaping all throughout the story.
The ending was kind of promising though. So the final book could be either absolutely amazing or the worst ever. HERE'S TO HOPING FOR OPTION NUMBER 1!!

Omg that ending!
