This book was very difficult for me to finish. Usually i consider the genre and themes interesting but something about this one just didn't sit with me. I could not get in tune with the characters at all. There was only one character i found remotely interesting...

Hated the love at first sight aspect but overall quick entertaining read.

Not my normal type of book but I liked the storyline: vampires don't need to feed on humans but are dwindling down in numbers because of the no soul guys taking them out. Kinda Vampire Academy- ish in the respect.

I had mixed feelings about this book. There were parts I really enjoyed -the romance was sweet at times- but there were problems that I usually shy away from.
I had two big issues. For one, the insta-love is INSANE! Butch literally seems to fall in love/lust with a woman the moment he sees her, and the same goes for Wrath and Beth. Considering this series is so long, I can't understand why the romance is so rushed. I'm desperately hoping the rest of the series doesn't have the characters fall instantly in love considering this will follow different POV's, though I don't have much hope (if you can clarify this, please do :) ).
The second issue is quite shallow but I literally can not help myself. Wrath's appearance description turned me off from him SOO much. Long black hair (not a fan of men with long hair if it's past their neck), widows peak, sunglasses 24/7, all leather? All of it added up just made me cringe at the mental picture. I'm sure some people may find that to be attractive and that's fine, but I kept imagining a 40 year old biker the entire book.
Despite my complaints, I didn't hate the book because it did bring me back in time to the cliche romance, vampire type story. With the decent sex scenes, rather adorable romance, and potential for the author to better their writing, I do plan on at least trying to read the second book and see if this long series is worth continuing.
