Holy Moly can I please get a Max Holden, thank you very much universe!

I squealed, cried, laughed, aaaaw'ed... Basically every emotion went through me while reading this 😂

The second I finished Forget Me I was praying to the book gods to send me Forget Me Not as soon as possible. As this was my first book by this author, I was completely shocked when that cliffhanger came and I was a little bit scared to see how it would develop. What happened at the end of book 1 is not something I would usually pick up to read (sorry for being vague, trying not spoil the first book).

However, I think it was handled beautifully and I was in from moment 1. Max and Sammies' relationship is adorable and it hurt me to see him hurting. I didn't used to like found family but this book once more proved that it is becoming one of my favourite tropes.

The only remark I have on this book is this: read the series in order! While they are standalones, I did spoil the other books for myself by reading this one first. I also read that Max was a bit of a dickhead in the previous books and I think I would've loved it even more if I could've seen the change in him, because he was simply perfect in these books.

I've added every single Claire Raye book to my wishlist and I'm so excited to get emotionally steamrolled again and again by them.

Pacing ruined things here.  Heroine doesn’t even remember things in full swing; but she’s already jumping on his dick and saying ily wtf is this pacing? What’s going on?

Ending: HFN

This book picked up right where the previous book left off. This one definitely had me feeling all of the emotions. Max and Harper were just right for each other. This was a good read.

I received an arc and this review is my own.

This is book 2 of Max and Harper’s duet. Book 6 in the Badger Creek Duet Series

When the accident happened and she lost two years, that has to be scary and terrifying. What a journey Harper went through to self discovery and remembering parts of the last two years. She did the only thing she did remember and she called her past.

“I hate how out of control I feel, how lost and alone and hopeless. It’s the worst feeling in the world to not know your own life, but I know I need to get back there. Not just for me, but for Sammie too.”

Max. MAX! What a sweet cinnamon roll hero!! When realizing Harper has memory loss, he was heartbroken. But he never gave up. He did all he could to have Harper remember their love and relationship.

“But even if you don’t, I’ll just convince you to fall in love with me all over again.”

Sammie is such a bright light in this story. Adorable! Her relationship with Max is everything.

The little twist and drama brings this story together and gives us the insight to how Harpers past was.

So happy we got the HEA and everything else’s with it!

“You and Sammie are my everything and I will do anything I can to protect you both. I know you’re scared, but I promise you we will sort this all out, okay?”

“It feels like this, us, has been everything I remembered it to be though, everything I wanted and needed.”

This is book 2 of Max and Harper’s duet and picks up right where book one leaves off so make sure to read Forget Me first.

Claire Raye is not messing around with this one we were hit with so many deep emotions right from the beginning. My anxiety was so high and it was wonderful The journey this book took Max, Harper and Sammie on was amazing. A rollercoaster of emotions the entire time.

I knew we were going have a lot to deal with after that fantastic cliffhanger, but my heart was not prepared. Harper is so special, she has so much love for Sammie is so deep that it makes my heart completely full and happy. They are all dealing with such an emotionally trying situation. Respect for her character comes so easily.

I may have been on the edge of my seat for a good portion of this book, but I was also smiled lots seeing Max and Harper get back to them, the love and relationship they built before. Memories may be missing but feelings don’t lie.

I thought I loved Max in book one but oh boy does he just surpass everything in this book. His love, patience, caring, and protectiveness is so amplified in this story, and I loved every moment of it. Max might be hurting, but he never lost his playful side and just how much she cares about Harper is so evident and everything he does to support her and Sammie. Seeing him with Sammie-was everything.

Sammie was such a special addition to the book as well as Max and Harpers relationship. She is smart, fun, adorable and I loved every moment she was on the page.

I love the whole Badger Creek crew, and am even more excited now to head back a get Nick and Elissa’s book next!

This duet is a must read!
