I wasn't too impressed with this book. It brought some of the minor characters back but it seemed a little disconnected. You can't connect with the Lion either way. He was just there. Nothing jumped out at me. I did like the continued weaving of the tale and everything but it didn't get us too far into the story. It felt like an introduction for the next book. It didn't give enough to really get a hold on the characters. I would've liked more background on other things. But interesting and creative no matter. Gregory has a way with words and recreating a world into something that resembles our dear Oz.
