"Becky Bloomwood thought being married to Luke Brandon would be one big Tiffany box of happiness. But to be honest, it's not quite as dreamy as she'd hoped. The trouble started on honeymoon, when she told Luke the tiniest little fib, about the teeniest little purchase. Now she's on a strict budget, she doesn't have a job, and, worst of all, her beloved Suze has a new best friend. She's feeling rather blue - when she gets the biggest shock of her life. She has a long-lost sister!

Becky has never been more excited. Finally, a real sister! They'll have so much in common! They can go shopping together. . . choose shoes together. . . have manicures together. . .

Until she meets her - and makes a dreadful discovery. It can't be true. Surely Becky Bloomwood's long-lost sister can't.… hate shopping?

A sister. A soulmate. A skinflint?" (From Amazon)

I liked the sister but then she seems to fall to the other side of the stereotype spectrum

this whole series is a laugh-out-loud, easy read.

Sophie Kinsella is probably my favorite easy-read author. Her books are clever and touching. They make you evaluate your own lifestyle but you hardy realize it because it's such a fun and easy read.

I forgot how much I love the endings of these books. Had to skim through a lot of pages to skip the shopping talk but couldn't wait to finish it by the second half!

So far, this has been the funniest of the series! I literally laughed out loud at a great many parts and I also found myself not as "annoyed" or "anxious" as I was with the other three books. In this book, Becky Brandon (nee Bloomwood) is now married and back from her 10 month honeymoon. Upon her return, she finds that she has a sister who is the exact opposite of her. I love this series and am looking forward to "Shopaholic and Baby!"

There’s cheeseburgers and then there’s filet mignon; They’re both beef but they are not one in the same. Although, as filet mignon isn’t always appropriate, sometimes what you really need is a good cheeseburger. These books are the fast food of literature. The cheeseburgers of books. Quick, easy, satisfying, and exactly what they say they are. The wheel is not being reinvented here but if you’re looking for something mindless and entertaining they will surely do the trick. The books tend to get better throughout the series but that could also be because I’ve come to accept the almost painful dialogue and cliché storylines and not because of any real improvements on the stories themselves.

That being said, give em a read. Eat a cheeseburger now and then.

Became a fan of these books before it became a huge hit so I had to read the rest. Easy to read but the storyline is the same.
