I simply did not want to let this book go. I got swept away with the story and the characters that lived in it and kept wanting to read, even beyond the last page. This is not the usual type of book I read, but I loved the story of the traveling librarians, especially being a librarian myself. It was wonderful journeying along with them, seeing their courage and their tenacity and wishing them all the best.

I’m a huge fan of JoJo Moyes. I fell in love with Me Before You, And the sequels. This is by far my favorite book of hers that I have read. Beautifully written.

I broke up with Reese a while back because some of her title choices were just awful, but I’m glad I gave her a second chance. Moyes’ story of the pack mule librarians in 1930s Kentucky was enthralling. Featuring a group of “misfit” women who deliver books to the rural residents of Appalachia, Moyes pulls together a great story of community, how strength in friendship and the written word can change a life. Highly recommend.
