Another incredible mystery from J. K. Rowling. The complexity of the characters and investigation are so compelling. She shows so much detail, recreates all the people around a 40 year old cold case. She gives you the facts of what happened. Extremely convincing red herrings. Yes it was probably longer than it needed to be, but I loved every second.
I also loved how Cormoran and Robin’s relationship was developed. They finally opened up to each other and became true friends. It was so rewarding after 5 books with them.

I loved it! Didn't see the ending coming at all or the revelation of who the killer was. Shocked me which I enjoy in a murder mystery.

Oh my gosh, this book took me 1.5 months to read. But it was so worth it! The amount of angst, intrigue, complexity, and humor in this story was so entertaining. And of COURSE, Robin & Strike having their little moments and then denying their feelings the entire time had me in a chokehold. I cannot wait to pick up the next one (although it’s even thicker than this book… help.)
