I loved this book. Addy and Crew were the perfect match. Neither one of them ever stood a chance against the other. Them falling for each other was truly inevitable, and I loved every second of it.

I love a good romantic suspense book and this one fit the bill perfectly, and this is just the first book in a series? I cannot wait to read more. Add to that the audiobook was available via the Audible Plus catalog and narrated by one of my favorite duos and I was hooked from the start. Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon do such a great job bringing stories to life, and this one was no exception.

I really liked how the suspense plot of this book was revealed throughout, and I liked that the suspense wasn't just in what was going on with Addy, but also the mystery of who Crew was and what he was doing next door. The way all of that was woven into the story was really well done. It kept me on the edge of my seat and it made it so difficult to stop reading. I loved how the relationship between Addy and Crew developed, and I love how Crew pushed Addy so she could finally be herself with someone. The way the two of them cared for each other was perfect.

I'm honestly so excited to have found this series and I can't wait to continue it.

Ill be honest, this story bored me. The plot was interesting but I did not really click with the characters. I am glad they got the bad guy in the end and the couple got there happy ending, but I think it was a little too sweet for me.

This book felt weirdly long to me and I’m not sure why, since it’s only 316 KU pages.

The premise is interesting and surprisingly single: a former assassin moves to a small town in Virginia, his only close by neighbor is a woman who owns a vineyard.

While this book’s plot comes across as potentially heavy (there’s a decades old treason plot, investigating the death of a parent, a school for assassins in the works, the KGB) it never bogs down the books plot or romance.

Crew is 100% an alpha and hot AF. Addy didn’t stand out on her own as a heroine (as in, I don’t feel like I know HER), but I liked her in relation to all the side characters. She’s smart and snappy, a good boss and friend. Her rambling and silliness bounced well off of Crew.

I didn’t find this book too steamy though there’s definitely explicit sex in it. I definitely want to read book 2 because I’m curious about Grady (hero of book 2) but I don’t think this is a series I’ll be binging. (Watch me eat my words… we’ll see.)

I struggled with some aspects of this book and loved others. There was a lot of setup in this book, so I’m wondering if it may have just been my mood, and I just needed something to dive in than building. So I’m going to give the next book a try. Kit Swann and Jason Clarke were wonderful. I loved their performances.

It did include a bonus novella that I absolutely loved.

Well Vines is just about the perfect book. A H every woman could wish for. A h we all wish we were. Drama, mystery and excitement until the very end and enough steam to make you want to keep reading. This book is now on the re-read list. Can't wait for the next book in the series. Well done Brynne Asher!

Hooked

Wow....just wow....what a great book. I absolutely loved Crew and Abby and all the side characters. I was hooked from the first pages and I absolutely couldn’t put it down. I love a great story with some mystery along the way. I’m downloading book 2 as I write this review. Brynne Asher is quickly becoming my favorite 1-click author.
