was hoping for that hannah and gabby might end up together but maybe that’s just the gay agenda

Eh

The alternating storylines was confusing, it took me a second every time a new chapter started.

Definitely here for night nurse man.

Also I wonder why there seems to be a whole generation of people caught up in trying to figure out life. It felt like there was a millennial midlife crisis the entire book and I was over it

Not my fave TJR book but I enjoyed it. I don’t know which side I was rooting for more which I guess has a happy meaning that life can work out in many different ways

It appears that I can't help but love everything I read by TJR. While the concept of the story (two alternate lives) isn't new or groundbreaking, I was so captivated by this story. There wasn't a boring moment for me and I hated having to put it down when I had to do something else. The main character isn't perfect or even super likable, but I couldn't help but root for her. There was a lot of heartbreak in this story but the whole theme is that you can still find happiness no matter how things play out, which is encouraging. The only thing I didn't like was how often we had to hear about the main character's obsession with cinnamon rolls. We get it, she likes cinnamon rolls! But other than that, I recommend this!

At first I found the alternating chapters a bit choppy and confusing but then I got used to them and read this book so fast! I wasn't a huge fan of the main character (the endless descriptions of her hair in a bun got on my nerves lol) but I especially loved Gabby and all the other characters. I also liked the two story lines equally so it was fun to read about how the two different choices played out. It's a very heartwarming book overall.
