ARC received for an honest review

It has been a while since I have read a Kimberly Knight book, and what a great way to get back into them.

Use Me, right from the start, has quickly become a favourite of her books for me.

Rhys and Ashtyn's story is smart and sexy. I love that they are both successful in their fields and that they feel equal (none of this simpering woman wondering why he wants her). There is a delicious push/pull between them that I couldn't help but adore. Neither are looking for a relationship, but that doesn't mean a relationship doesn't have plans for them!

There is also some mystery and suspense throughout the story, just waiting to play out for all to see.

The drama wasn't OTT, and wasn't there just for the sake of it. Our lovelies had their ups and downs (yes, those ones as well lol) but I loved how they reacted and resolved things - like adults!

There were a couple of twists that the reader could see coming, however getting taken along for the ride as things unfold was great.

I really did like Use Me, and can't wait to see what Ms Knight brings us next.

Pretty good friends with benefits to lovers read!

This book was good. Two people who recently ended a relationship in a crappy way, USE each other for forgetting their exes. Problem, or maybe not really a problem, is that they start to feel more than just using each other. Someone recommended this as a friends with benefits to more read. And it defiantly fits that. I does have a ton of drama/angst in it. It’s probably at a soap opera level, and I can handle that, but it felt like once one issue was resolved another one would show up. It was just a bit much. That’s my only complaint though. Other than that it was a good read, so if you’re looking for friends with benefits to lovers and are fine with a bit of extra drama, then you’ll enjoy Use Me!

The author definitely has potential. The characters just need a little more development —a little more reason to like them. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable quick read.

Unfortunately I couldn’t get in to this.
I found it really slow and it wouldn’t hold my interest.

Use Me is a romantic suspense that follows our two main characters Rhys and Ashtyn. We get to follow them from complete strangers, to friends with benefits, to boyfriend/girlfriend, to engaged, and finally to marriage. All of this takes place in 6 months, so their relationship moves very rapidly. While they do move fast, it did not feel insta-lovey to me (more like insta-lust). Maybe it was because they bonded together while drinking away their exes and failed relationships.
I really enjoyed most of the banter between our main characters. I say I enjoyed "most" of the banter because it did feel a little repetitive at times which slowed my reading down a bit. They were super sweet with each other, and at times it read like a straight romance book which kept things light and fluffy. That being said, this is a romatic suspense so our characters have to deal with suspensful situations.
I have to say that I did not expect to have our stalker plot wrapped up and dealt with so early. It felt a little anticlimactic, and it left me with the "oh that was it?" feeling. Luckily what saved the plot for me was the other crazy psycho. Without that, this story would have quickly become monotonous for me. There were no "who could the crazed stalker be?" moments. You pretty much know as soon as you meet him. At least I did. This book didn't try to be a mystery, so if you are looking for one keep moving.
Overall, this book was full of sugary sweet romance with a touch of creepy and entitled dudes out to get Ashtyn and Rhys. I liked the main characters, but the light handed stalker story and the repetitive dialogue was why I gave this four and not five stars.

Well, I really didn't like this book. The only reason it doesn't have a lower rating is becuase I only give 1 star whenever I am angry at the book or there are some major issues with it. There is nothing "wrong" with the story per say, it was just incredibly unrealistic and ridiculous.

The characters were flat and that's being generous, the story was waaaaay to long and it's only 292 pages. It could have done with 200 easlily. There were so many stupid conflicts that were not actually developed. I don't understand why would the author introduce them if she wasn't going to actually follow through ANY of them. There was even an almost kidnap situation that started and ended in FOUR PAGES. Honestly, so unnecessary.

Events like this one happened continuously and it made me roll my eyes every two seconds.

Also, I was promised Hockey players and that couldn't be farther from the truth. The male protagonist is a journalists that COVERS hockey games. THAT'S IT. And he doesn't even talk about them. ARG.

I don't recommend it. If you want a cute contemporary romance centered around Hockey I'd go for the Off-campus series by Elle Kennedy better.

Probably closer to a 3.5. Pretty pridictable, however still a good read.

Great book! I would have been ok with a few less psychopaths in the story though lol. Rhys & Ashtyn sure had some bad luck! I liked the main characters, the location (woohoo Chicago!), and the overall storyline.
