I liked this book, but it felt like things happened very quickly.

Jason goes to Nico’s father’s diner with his daughter while his son is at karate and meets Nico. Nico is helping with his father's diner because his father just had a heart attack. While at the diner, Jason ends up telling Nico that he’s at the farmer’s market every time and so Nico goes to see him there. They have a date, Nico meets Jason’s kids in a short scene, they meet each other’s families in short scenes and that’s it.

I liked Jason’s and Nico’s characters, but their relationship development was very quick. Also, it felt like Nico only meets Jason’s kids once and it’s like they’ve known each other forever.

The other side characters seemed nice, but they were only shown in short scenes, so you didn’t really see their interactions with Jason and Nico.

This book was fine, but it was a bit quick, and I wanted to see more details.

This book was so super cute! Jason and Nico were smitten from the start. I loved how Nico interacted with the kids. He took to them immediately. It was so sweet. The steam was hot as well even with kids around! I loved that they made time for each other no matter what. The happily ever after was super sweet as well.
This was definitely a no angst book with a ton of sweet moments and steamy times. It was perfection.

This was such a cute book! I loved it so much, a perfect summer read that mixes lighthearted and serious so well. Be warned, you will want some pie after reading this!

What a wonderfully sweet and low angst romance. I love a good single dad story and Parker and Emily bring all the cuteness whilst Jason is working hard at being a newly single dad after divorcing his wife and trying to make enough money from baking pies to pay the bills. Nico is now running the family diner after a big health scare for his dad and is run off his feet whilst trying to think of ways to bring in more money. A helpful nudge from Emily and another member of staff at the diner puts Jason's pies on Nico's radar and the rest is history.
Their connection is immediate and, though time is tight for Jason with so much going on and his children being his main focus, I really enjoyed how they managed to get time together and Nico just effortlessly slides in to their family life. The big thing going for Nico in Jason's eyes is how much Parker and Emily love him. There are some hot and heated moments between the two men but the main thing for me was the family feel and how they both come together and help to make each other's lives better in every way.
It sounds like a good community of people and I'm looking forward to more from this author and series.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.
