Just love this series it just keeps getting better. I have enjoyed all these books but I have to admit Nate is my favorite brother you just know from the previous books that he has a huge heart and I completely understood why he was so against falling in love but Taylor was just perfect for him. It was really well written and a great addition to the series I enjoyed every single second of it

Nate and Taylor were so good together.

They were friends and partners and didnt want to do anything to jepordise the working relationship between them.

Enjoyed Nate's heart and capacity to give and Taylor's strength. As a friend, as an agent and as a lover.

After having read the two previous books in this series. I was really looking forward to Nates story. And honestly, it did not disappoint.

As Ace of Spades was an engaging read. That had suspense, drama, emotion, great characters, a little angst and a romance I really enjoyed.

And I'd therefore happily recommend Ace of Spades and the two previous stories in the Aces and Eights series to others. As they are all really great, enjoyable reads.

I love Nate and Taylor's story. I love it when the grumpy guy finally meets his match. I'm looking forward to the final book of the series.

I loved the characters in this series. Nate was the most mysterious brother. He has been through so much from a young age, dealing with abuse and taking care of his brother. I loved seeing and understanding why he was the way he was. Taylor was BA. She was smart, an amazing agent, and so sweet and caring. I loved how they formed a friendship over the years that blossomed to more. The reason this book was a 4 was because the storyline was a little slow. I liked the mystery. It was similar to an episode of Criminal Minds, but there was not as much action. It was a lot more inner monologue, and not as much of the other stuff we had seen in the previous books. Overall, still a great series and can't wait to read the final book but going to be sad for it to end.

I have been waiting for Nate's story. I knew that he would be a hard nut to crack because he's firmly convinced that he never wants to marry or have a relationship. And Taylor is probably the one woman that would be able to convince him of the error of his ways.

ACE OF SHADOWS is everything that you would want in a romantic suspense. There is danger, a lot of tension that builds as time passes and a lot of head. Add in characters that you get to throughout the series and you have a book that will hold your attention through all the twists and turns.

I do think that readers that enjoy the genre will really like this book especially if you have been following the series. It does contain sex and violence but that is what will keep you glued to the pages.

***I received this book for free from NetGalley in exchange for a fair and honest review. All opinions are my own and not influenced by the publisher or author.

Received an ARC of this book and as always, Ms.Owens never disappoints. Reading the other books in the series, Nate was quiet. This book defiantly makes you understand him better and the girl for him was perfect! The plot was amazing and kept you on your toes! I loved it!

Nate Gentry and Taylor Collins are working together to find the person murdering prostitutes. Nate is the oldest of the Gentry brothers and is struggling with the fact that his siblings is wanting to find their mother who abandoned them to an abusive father. Nate is working the case with Taylor, finding himself wanting more from Taylor than co-workers and struggling with his siblings decision. Will they be able to find the murderer in time, will Taylor feel the same way as Nate and what about his mother?

I had not read the other two books so did not the back story but I enjoyed this. I thought it was fast paced, good chemistry and was well paced. I thought Nate was swoon worthy, intriguing character and found I still wanted more of him by the end of the book. Great read, going to check the rest in the series.

I'm liking this series more and more with every book. I'm already a bit sad that the next one might be the last.
