Fantastic cookbook I’m excited to continue getting into over the next season. I read through the whole book and the recipes look so good!

I think Josh and his videos are hilarious but the food tastes great. I didn’t but the book just because he’s a funny guy but because he knows how to cook and has something to teach me.

Easy five stars great job bro

This is a very aesthetically pleasing cookbook. I’ve followed this guy online for awhile and he style/teaching methods are really easy to understand. Its pretty strait foreword and that definitely came through in this book. Can’t wait to cook some of these.

This would be 5 star if it wasn't for the uber super filler recipes that was included in this.

Grilled cheese, BLT sandwich, banana split just to name a few.

This was a beautiful cookbook. I'm rating it 3.75 stars for its intimidation factor. Ticky tacky I know. (It has the most apt title) Cooking fresh and from scratch is key. Your end result is all based off the materials you use. I do make my own pasta sauce on occasion. My own bread when I can. I've never made my own pasta but its on my To Do list. Right now I have no bandwidth to do this weekly! Baby steps. I greatly enjoyed the cookbook but kept shaking my head because it read like a fantasy book to me. It is not feasible with our on the go lifestyle. And we do a lot of cooking and prep at home for meals throughout the week. I shall pick you up later Mr. Weissman cookbook and rate your book differently. But right now you are scary in all your cookiness.

I love Joshua's personality and it is wholly reflected in his cookbook. It is very informative and probably the first time I actually read a cookbook cover to cover. I love that he breaks it down right to the basics, like making your own bread or ketchup if you're feeling adventurous.

I hate cooking. There are few things I find to be a more considerable waste of time than spending over an hour making a dinner that you eat in 10 minutes. That being said, I want to improve my cooking skills for the future as I, sadly, am an adult and need to feed myself. Woe is me.

I never watch food channels, so this was a first for me. I found Joshua Weissman on YouTube by accident and found his sense of humor and editing to be endearing. I decided to check and see if he published a cookbook as I often find his videos entertaining, but hard to follow specific recipes. When I found this book, I tried out a few more uncomplicated recipes and shock of shocks; they were super simple and easy to follow! I don't know if this book is aimed at total beginner losers like me or more experienced cooks, but I just chose the ones with the shortest list of ingredients and went from there. I enjoy his approach to cooking and how he cuts back on a lot of the added, unnecessary ingredients and focuses on how to make a good-tasting meal without wasting hours of your life. Worth checking out!

It seems as if I am late to the party! I was not aware of Joshua's fame on YouTube and will now become a faithful follower. Precise, straightforward, and unapologetic, Joshua puts together a great cookbook full of homemade basics that you can build into literally anything. His focus on good ingredients and showing how cooking from scratch is easy is why this book is so great. I loved the visuals he used to help us folks who need them. Altogether this is a pretty great cookbook that will trick you into thinking you can conquer homemade ingredients and flavorful recipes!

I love getting to know the basics of cooking but the breakdown of how to make simple sauces is a little much. I am however very excited to pickle some vegetables and learn how to make bread from scratch! (:
