This is an interesting read. Its curious to see how he interpreted things, reading about his anxieties and so on. Its an insightful read.

Entertaining read as I expected. Louis' oddball documentary style comes through in his writing too.
The only downside is he spends too much time beating himself up over Jimmy Savile.

This was an interesting read, enjoyed Louis Theroux’s honesty about the reality of being on TV.

Really made me laugh out loud, and I love the wording of what Louis says. His impersonations are ace. It was a long read though - over 13 hours - and some was not that interesting. There was enough though to give it a 5.

DNF so won’t rate.
Oof I did not like this at all. He was coming off pretty annoying, glad I gave up early.

Absolutely loved it. Listened to the audiobook which I feel like enhanced the experience because of how unique his manner of speaking and writing is. He revisits a lot of his programme work and says less about his actual life than expected, but it was still fascinating to hear about what led up to those iconic programs and hear little behind the scenes tidbits. The whole book was eloquently written, thoughtful and a great insight into his philosophy of documentary making.
