Hatched should be read between [b:Zadri|32354464|Zadri (Dragons of Preor, #5)|Celia Kyle|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1475508505s/32354464.jpg|52984602] and [b:Ivoth|33666096|Ivoth (Dragons of Preor, #7)|Celia Kyle|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1483312291s/33666096.jpg|54537062]. It’s a short story about the birth of the first Human/Preor children.

It gives us the first couple in the series, Taulan and Lana, and shows us the birth of their twins. Since the Preor and the women who mated them don’t know what to expect when it comes to the birth of the children they deiced to not allow drugs and have it be a natural birth. Man that’s hard. When I had my child. I did the drugs. I can’t imagine going through labor without it. Beside the labor their is something else in play.

Hatched is great for fans of the series to experience the first birth of Human/Preor children. It was an ok read for me.

Need more!!!

Celia Kyle is a genius when it comes to the Dragons of Preor books!! I started these before the Ujal (sp?) books, but I don't think it will cause me too many problems when I start reading them.

Enough about the series, let's talk Hatched!! The sweetest, edge of my seat, amazing book of the series I think. Gotta say Penelope is probably my new favorite character!! When you get to that part, you'll understand! I hope there're many more books in this series so that we can get glimpses of the babies that are coming from all these Preor-human matings!!

Dragons of Preor
Erin Tate & Celia Kyle

This book series is related to The Ujal series and that reading Dashing Through the Stars would be helpful. Well, you can guess if you have read a few of these. I haven’t read The Ujal series or Dashing Through the Stars no I started with the 2nd book and then went and found as many as I could find on my library application. I am not usually a fan of Sci/fi romance, I can only assume that this came up in my reading list because I do occasionally read paranormal/shifter romance and have a few dragon shifter romance novels in my favorites list. I was surprised that I liked so many of these. The series uses the special mate trope that is common in paranormal/shifter romance novels. How can we not love the thought that there is someone out there destined to be ours forever?

Dashing Through the Stars (novella)
Jerek
Taulan
Kozav
Rendan
Zadri
Hatched
Ivoth (didn’t finish)
Brukr (didn’t read yet)
A Baby for Chashan (didn’t read yet)
Argan (didn’t finish)
Vende (didn’t read yet)
Whelon (didn’t read yet)

If you like this trope I would recommend this surprising series and I will be adding The Ujal series to my TBR for 2021.

Great fun and I really like the thought of the father experiencing all the labour pains with the mother.

I loved this story! It was great getting to catch up with Lana and Taulan and seeing the first human-Preor children being born. We get to catch up with some of the other characters as well and see how the human women are changing things on the ship. Taulan's reaction to Lana's labor is great! I got a huge kick out of it. This is a quick read but it was so awesome to get to catch up and read about this part of the characters lives. I can't wait to get to see how things continue to adapt and change.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

A short story, filler about the birth of the babies from the couple in the first book. Some funny moments, 'lost in translation' moments.

My review is as short as this book. I enjoyed it. It's sweet , little treat to have while waiting for the next Dragon book. It doesn't work as a standalone, but if you're a fan of the series, I'd recommend it.
