once you've read 5 mystery novels then you've basically read them all. I guessed what happened straight away because of the formula the author used.. the basic mystery author way of writing.
The pacing was off and just wasn't an enjoyable read for me.
i gave it two stars because i did like the writing but that's about it.

Solid book with a good twist. I did kind of see the end coming but I think this probably adds to the story rather than taking away from it. It made me want to keep turning the pages to see if I was right. Very well written and well shaped characters.

The novel dragged a bit in the middle, but was a good read with a nice plot twist. There was a particularly graphic scene which was uncomfortable, but understandable in the setting and structuring of the novel
