Oh my god, I can't begin to say how I hate this book and "hate myself" for reading it even more. The poor kid, those parents... HER MONSTER OF A PARENTS... I'm a mom and I can't for the love of god, can't understand how a mother would even take part at damaging her own daughter... I... god I'm so mad.

The story is indeed heartbreaking as it shows some of the darker sides of our society and the problems in a system that often fails to help the ones who need most.
I think if more people read this book, there would be much more action taken towards improvement.

Quite a horrific case, with little happiness which almost left me wondering how truthful it was as it was so sad! But it Really highlighted the sad state of social welfare systems and a lack of resourcing and many gaps in care.
