Loved this book and these characters. I’m so excited to read the rest of the series and see all the other characters’ stories. I just wish there was a little bit more build up, but it’s a small thing.

I hate to say it but I expected a lot better from this. In general, the book just felt weird. I think one of KB's stregths have always been that they've known how to developed great characters with their own personatilies and also write romance that also had really strong friendships and family dynamics but for some reason all those things are missing here and that makes me really sad.
Spoiler
My main three issues with the book:
I'm soooo over the whole ryke/lily - ryke being moffy's dad thing, we already read that, in more than one book. I'm over it. And I hate that this conflict was used to shape Moffy's entire personality.
Second, Moffy's Farrow and Moffy's relationship felt rushed, what did they had in common besides the sexual attraction? where was the connection and the emotion? i just didn't felt it
And last, that damn incest storyline in itself was just... no but then the parents reaction? completely ridiculous.

This doesn't mean I won't continue the series, because I will, I still love the twins, but I do wish they had chosen to make this a series of standalones like Aerial Ethereal instead of dragging out unnecessary drama.

i really did not like this book. there were too many sex scenes, and i hated the way some things were phrased.

why are their eyes constantly caressing each other? why are their cheekbones sharpening when they're upset? why does maximoff have to break the fourth wall over and over again? why am i still reading these mediocre books? all these questions went through my brain while i was reading this book.

also, i hated how every single character in the book was perfect. people liked the addicted series more because of how flawed and grey the characters were. however, the characters here were so perfect and excellent, and even their only "flaws" couldn't even be considered flaws.

there was zero plot in this book. nothing interesting happened. the two MCs got hard every two seconds from seeing each other doing anything. you can tell that the two authors just have some sort of fetish because this was just odd.

i think i'm officially done with this universe because it is so painfully mediocre and move on with my life to much better books. anyways…

Hey, my review is gone.
Well, this was my first audiobook ever and today I finished it for the third time. I like the characters and did not miss information because of skipping the previous series.
I think the drama is sometimes too much, how hatefull the trolls are gets to me.
Cendese is a narrator I had to get used to. I still think his portrayal of women is offensive. They all sound like toddlers with a lisp. The emotional range of both performers is good and they follow the text precisely.

I saw the spines of this series on
bookstagram and really loved the way they looked so I started the first one hoping I would really enjoy it so I could buy them and have them be pretty on my shelves. Not! Quite!

Not to be a book snob, but I knew going in this kind of romance was going to be poorly written and honestly, I was fine with that. I will put up with poor writing in exchange for hot MMA bodyguard/American celebrity prince, but that element just wasn't good enough to compensate as it turned out. I think my main problem was the portrayal of just how famous the family is. I just didn't buy it. I know America is celeb-crazy, but caring so much about a socialite family was just entirely out of my comprehension to the point of distraction and annoyance. A shame because Maximoff and Farrow are both totally hot, but oh well.

3.5 stars. I enjoyed both the main characters - both cinnamon rolls at heart. Maximoff just wants to take care of his family and Farrow's so easy-going and laid back. Not sure I want to read two more books about them though. There's not much angst in this book and most of the conflict is external. I realized halfway through that there's a previous series about the parents/aunts/uncles that I thought might be interesting. Then I hit 90% and the older generation does something that's just trash and nope, no need to read about those people.
