Part of a Series?: Yes
----------------------------------
Meeting the Characters
Jill Gooder - Private Eye -new witch
----------------------------------
What happens?
Jill gets a new case from a charity something I thought would go the other way but its a simple story line. She is also a bridesmaid at her mothers wedding, all the while fielding suspicions from her sister during her birthday celebrations the same day.
Final thoughts
Nice mystery. No romance yet but there are slow burners starting between detective and another man who has a dog. Not sure yet which one I want pretty sure not Drake and the detective instead.

These books are a fun and fast read. I really enjoy them when I need to relax and unwind.

This was a good story in the series prefering it to the previous book. In this book Jill is rushed off her feet again. She has a hit and run and a missing holiday fund to investigate,a love sick cat, a hen do, and her dead mums wedding. Her life is definitely interesting, I found it was quite a nice easy read. Think the investigating part could have flowed a bit better as at times it seemed a bit jumpy but was a good read that I would recommend. xxx

This was a strong 3rd book. I've enjoyed this one the most out of the series so far. There were less mentions of her aversion to mixed biscuits and other OCD tendencies and more focus on the story which was nice. The story it weaved was enjoyable and entertaining and I'm enjoying the characters.

I still think this series is adorable and everything a pre-teen girl needs to pass time and foster a love for reading much like Nancy Drew did for me and generations before me.

Each book builds upon the previous books while new "cases" are added and solved within the one book. I wish some of the continuing storylines would move faster or get more mention.

The same supporting characters are still annoyingly ridiculous. I think Kathy could be a great asset if she was a little less self-absorbed and a more supportive sister. Even Grandma's meddling isn't as annoying as Kathy's. I tend to expect meddling from older generations. I haven't decided what I think of the twins yet.

I still recommend this series for anyone who has a short amount of time and wants a light read.

The book is okay, I'm hoping hey get better as the series goes on. There are a few items that bother me about the book. Time stands still in candlefield so why was she so worked up about her sisters birthday being the same day as the wedding, no one in the whole time knows zero about the dark one? Also, how does she have money for everything and she is barely working? I'm still going to continue the series I like it enough to continue I just hope some items are explained more. There are a few scenes that made me chuckle.

This book in the series let me down  little. We are only three books in and it seems Adele Abbott is forgetting fundamentals of Candlefield. Supposedly time stops in Washbridge while Jill is in Candlefield. So why we had to endure her going back and forth between her mom's wedding and her sisters birthday was not called for. Also all that (the main part advertised in the description) didn't happen until well past the middle. Still love the character and somehow eager to see what happens next.
