This was frothy and fun like all of the books I've read by Gina LaManna, but it didn't hold my attention very well. This series features a male lead who is probably high-functioning on the autism spectrum, though it isn't addressed as such, which is probably better, because you can't just throw love at people with autism for them to automatically develop neurotypical social skills ::shrug::

So Good!

I read this book in one day, I could not put it down!! There was something light & fun about this book that made it impossible to put down. I also loved the mystery aspect to the story as well. Very good book!

This book was a hoot. Lola and her best friends Babs (lawyer) & Annalise (gymnast) live in a small beach town. Lola's psychic grandmother has died and she's is trying to fix up their place to add a coffee shop and sunglasses business. The hot handyman in town (Luke) is interested in her. The eccentric tech billionaire businessman (Dane) that has a compound (Castle) on the edge of town offers her a contract to "find" something for him. Lola accepts and is up to her ears in a mystery that involves future and past employees, a stilted friendship with the awkward Dane, dates with Luke, and adventures with her two besties. A clean, fun, fast read with lots of humor and a little bit of romance. Looking forward to the next in the series

When I first started this story, I just didn't like it. But today is a cold rainy day, and I had off work, so I decided to persevere and get to the end. At about 30% of the way through it thing started picking up, I started laughing hysterically at some of the characters, especially her friends. As an overall, I would recommend this book. It just had a little bit of a start a slow beginning, but if you stick with it, you'll love it. I'm looking forward to the next one.

Shades of Pink was interesting. It had a very interesting plot line, with a really funny heroine. I was surprised by the twist towards the end as well. Overall, I thought it was a really good read and I liked it.

I lost track of the number of times I both laughed out loud and got warm, fuzzy, early flirtation feelings while listening to this book. The writing and narration was spot-on, and I still can't get over the way the narrator has Clark say "Lola" 💗

Dane Clark reminded me of a cross between Big Bang Theory's Sheldon Cooper and Spencer Reid from Criminal Minds, with billions of dollars of course. Watching him try to navigate standard social encounters and friendship was hilarious and endearing.

I almost got the twist right! Of the two possible twists possible, I was leaning more toward the other 😭

This isn't the best mystery I've read this year, but it's certainly not the worst. I'll definitely be visiting the Sunshine Shore again soon.
