Another book from Debbie Macomber that needs to be a Lifetime movie! Very quick read and became quickly immersed in the characters.

3.5 Stars. Any Dream Will Do by Debbie Macomber is a typical Macomber story. A nice, easy read with mostly likable characters. Shay Benson is a young woman who made a bad decision that cost her 3 years of her life. Drew is a pastor with two young children who lost his wife to cancer. The two meet and fall in love. Along the way, they face a series of obstacles, the biggest being her ex-boyfriend, Shooter, who is a drug dealing convict, and her ne’er do well brother, Cade. Of course, as in most Macomber books, right triumphs in the end. And don’t get me wrong, there’s a reason I have read so many Macomber novels. They are always full of hope, and faith, and kindness and especially love.

I usually like Debbie Macomber's stuff as its short, easy and happy endings. This book was trite, predictable, and too much religion in this soppy story.
I finished it so that's why I gave it a 2 star rating but best to give it a miss.

Another excellent book from one of my favorite authors! This one even had some elements of faith, which I was so encouraged to see. Shay Benson is newly released from prison and wanders into Pastor Drew's church. The story follows their lives over the next year, with glimpses into the past and how they got where they are, and how they move forward. I really enjoyed this one!

there are just too many tropes. Former druggie who was caught stealing from a bank to help her brother is released from prison to meet a pastor who is a widower with two kids not able to let go of his wife. my interest level just plummeted. too many things to read to waste my time!
