This is the 3rd book in the Dash and Lily series. Dash is studying at Oxford university in England and Lily is back in New York, her dog walking business thriving. When lily decides to surprise dash by visiting him at Christmas they realise that neither of them know what they want.

The characters in this series are INFURIATING. Both dash and lily included who both come across as very immature and stubborn. But nothing beats Lily's family. They just seem to get worse and worse in every book!

I won't lie this isn't one of my favourite series, I don't love it. However, it really is a cute festive read which Is goof if you want a quick read at Christmas.

These characters and their story have my whole heart and honestly, at this point, Christmas wouldn't feel right without some Dash and Lily. I'd happy continue to follow their story book after book, year after year.

Whilst I didn't love this addition quite as much as the past two, I think that's purely down to being Brit who's familiar with London, so I definitely missed the escapism of the NYC setting.

However, the story, relationships, characters, mental illness rep, books, dogs and Christmas magic delivered on all fronts. This was a lovely addition to this gorgeously festive couples story and whilst I hope it won't be the last, I can't wait to continue to reread (and rewatch) their story for many Christmases to come.

TW: anxiety, panic attacks

This book wasn’t particularly amazing but it wasn’t bad either it was funny like always with the dash and lily series. It can really make me laugh and I like the characters I just think there could have been more of a plot.

Sigh. These books are fun but that is about it. While I am thrilled that the Netflix show may have a third season in London, I found Dash & Lily's overall character arcs to be minimal and lacking over the course of these three novels. Lily was particularly annoying with her indecision about going to Barnard or pursuing her dogpreneur or dog training businesses (and her reaction to Dash's reaction to her surprising him in London). Dash was a little bit more believable with his existential crisis leading him to pull away from NY and Lily and question all his childhood dreams of attending Oxford. The entire book I kept dreaming of how the show will improve this lukewarm novel to something more palatable. I can just picture the gorgeous London scenery in the Christmas spirit. Next to NY, the city where I lived until just recently (#pandemic), London is my absolute favorite holiday city so this book seemed a logical next step in Cohn and Levithan's trio of holiday centered YA stories.

Now, to that plot. The nepotism throughout this book is vast and had me rolling my eyes. Also, I still cannot fathom how much money Lily makes from her dog businesses so a stay at Claridge's (though poked at in the novel) still seems utterly ridiculous. However, I am intrigued by this addition of Azra to the friendship circle and though this novel does not do her justice (similar to all the sideline characters in the previous two), I hope the TV show improves that should it reach season 3 (same with Gem... her spirit was definitely more pronounced but again, I really look forward to what she *could* be).

Overall, it was fine. If you read the other two, worth picking up because it goes by fast and does make you smile occasionally.

I actually like this Lily. She took a step back from her life and really reevaluated not only her life but her affect on everyone else’s. This book actually made me annoyed at Dash. He seemed so wishy-washy and selfish.

I received this through Netgalley.

YES! We are taken back to the magic of Dash & Lily's first book. London is a proper setting for this totally cute continuation of this love story. I love how Lily has grown into her own and how she shows readers that you don't have to follow the traditional path to find success. Readers are going to have a great holiday season with this book.
