This book had me on the first page. It took me a while to read because I didn't want it to end. I've always loved the author and I know this book was going to be all her personality.
This book had life lessons that were funny and serious, humor (I laughed throughout the entire book, and some great moments. I was laughing out loud and had to contain myself several times.
At the end of each chapter, she gives us some nuggets that I could appreciate, I already knew, and made me smile. I like that's all that was very transparent with her life. I can relate to some of the parts of her life that I kept nodding my head to some of her experiences in life. She has a powerful message for life. The journey was not hard for her but she got through it. That was so inspirational. I give it five stars and I would definitely recommend it.

This is a super light hearted memoir about some serious stuff. I found myself giggling at various parts of the book, even while she described some really difficult things. It’s a fun and easy read. I highly recommend.

I didn't know much about Loni Love other than the vague feeling of I think I've seen her somewhere or in something. After reading her memoir, I'm pretty sure I was confusing her with another actress. This book was great, she has a great presence and her sense of humor comes through.

This book is great because Loni is such a wonderful person and her heart shines through on every page. She is funny and entertaining but also soft and thoughtful. I was shocked to read about her early years and some of the struggles she overcame but of course, there is a happy ending and an an interesting journey to get there. I also watched Soul Plane for the first time after reading this book and that was a treat. This book felt like having a meal with one of your best storytelling friends.

One of the best audiobooks I've read in a long time!

I honestly didn't know much about Loni Love going into reading this. I knew she was a comedian and is a host on The Reel (even though I've never actually seen it).

I loved this book! And now I love Loni Love.

She gets raw and in depth on her upbringing in the projects of Detroit, how she overcame adversity (and is still overcoming it today), her job as an engineer (say what, now?!), and the journey to stardom - all while throwing in the most hilarious "life lesson" tips.

Memoir/biographies read by the author is one of my favorite types of audiobooks to listen to and I've listened to a lot (Laura Graham, Elton John, Jenny Slate...). This book (and the voice inflections) took the cake on being funny, raw, and educating.

Cannot recommend it enough!!!

(4.5) I went into this book with no idea what I was getting into. As far as I know, I have never seen anything with Loni Love in it. Her book just looked interesting to me. I loved it and look forward to checking out more of her work moving forward.
