This book had a lot of potential. There was so much that could’ve been that didn’t happen like I wouldn’t have been so complacent about the whole marriage situation and fought against it. But Rose just went along instead of showing real anger and she didn’t ask at all why Aiden was doing this and why he hurt her in the past before getting into the marriage.
I’m a sucker for grovelling and when they make up but I personally felt there wasn’t much to it there. And then they just have so much sex and I love reading spice but it was more sex than plot. Her job went out the window, her father disappeared and it was just more about Aiden than her life too. There was no balance.
I genuinely felt bad for Willow and I wish they did more to help her or take her in once she told them the truth but they left her to it and I wasn’t expecting that, especially from Rose.
It wasn’t completely boring and I did get through it but I usually finish books in a day so it took me a while to continue it. But I hope Connor and Willow’s story will be much better paced seeing how much she went through.

Solid 3 stars for this book. It was good but nothing to really rave about. I like that it wasn't a typical arranged marriage romance the characters did have a unique backstory where they went to school together and had a past relationship and you know things happened obviously so that was really interesting and the side characters their brothers were really interesting. So overall I did enjoy it.

This book was ok not super amazing but not awful. I hate the pregnancy trope so I didn’t like that. Also what he did to her in highschool I still wouldn’t have forgiven him but whatever. Not an awful book but I would still recommend for mafia lovers.

Nando’s Spice Rating: Extra Hot
I genuinely feel like this book could have been so much better than it was.
Potentially would try another series by this author though.
