I enjoy the plot of these books. However, not much happens in each book and I feel like these three books at least could’ve been combined into one and taken out a lot of fluff. It’s honestly starting to get pretty ridiculous. I think the only reason I’m continuing the series is because I can make my Kindle read it to me at two times speed because there is so much purple prose that I don’t miss anything and can get through them very quickly. Even so, I wonder if I’m just wasting my time.

—————— POTENTIAL SPOILERS BELOW —————————

There are several things that just don’t add up. But one of the big things is murdering Anderson. Kenji stopped her from killing him previously with the reasoning that if you kill him, then someone worse might step up. But apparently now it’s fine to kill him and they’re not worried about that at all? If she had just been allowed to kill him in the first place, then they would still have their secret omega hideout, and less people would be dead. I also find it very weird that neither of his sons wanted to kill him when they both talked repeatedly about wanting to kill him.

“Words, I think, are such unpredictable creatures. No gun, no sword, no army or king will ever be more powerful than a sentence. Swords may cut and kill, but words will stab and stay, burying themselves in our bones to become corpses we carry into the future, all the time digging and failing to rip their skeletons from our flesh.”

The metaphors are really peculiar in this one. I honestly can't believe that this is where the series initially ended. It's... a conclusion of sorts, I guess. I liked the way that things unfolded, and I liked the developments of Aaron and Juliette's relationship in this book. It was a pretty good, fast-paced read. Adam did annoy me at times though, and Kenji is still my favorite character.
I also like the relationship between James and Aaron. That was cute. And the brother reveal plot line. That was also nicely done.
Even though this series might not be the best, I'm very entertained, and sometimes, that's all you want from a book.

this was SO good. i was audibly and physically reacting to it. by the time i finished the book i was pacing the hallway vibrating with energy. this was mainly character development over plot but it was SO GOODAMN GOOD!!!! the plot mainly happened in the last 100 pages but it was awesome and i will be thinking about this for a WHILE.
i am in love with warner and kenji, they ate everything and i love them with my whole heart. james needs to be protected with everything and i feel like i am missing a pivotal moment where james gets to hug juliette because she can be touched now and that would be such a special moment between them

it’s my favourite book from this series so far! (which is funny ‘cause I gave unravel me 5 stars. it’s just -0.5 because adam is such an annoying mf) i’m pleasantly surprise. i love kenji and warren and winston (<3). warren was so cute all through the book 😭 my poor man was suffering™ when J was nice to him 😭
