It's rare that I say this, but too silly. Ridiculous circumstances pile up at the end.

While the Bridgerton family is still one of my favorite families to read about, this book was not my favorite. Gregory's story seemed a little bit of an afterthought. Although, I do appreciate that while the others weren't looking for "true love" Gregory seemed to think it was obvious that it existed and that he wouldn't settle for less.

Overall it was a fine book, and I am glad to have read it and completed the series. If I go back and read some of the series, this one will not likely be on the re-read list.

Gregory is by far the best Bridgerton Brother. Such a roller coaster of emotions and a truly beautiful end to the main 8 books.

This book is the embodiment of chaos. I just have to start there. It was undoubtedly the most chaotic of love stories and plots in all of the Bridgerton books.

Gregory is a love sick puppy. He has literally had no choice, but to believe in true love. With every one of his siblings married with children and the epic love story of his parents, it was honestly his destiny. His pairing with Lucy was great in the sense that the overall message was love can withstand anything. Lucy didn’t believe that she would find a love match; however, the universe had other plans. Her love with Gregory ended up saving her from a life of complacency.

Gregory’s obsession with Hermoine in the beginning was almost laughable. He was so obsessed with the picture of what he thought love was that he almost missed his blessing. The church scene literally made my jaw drop in the opening, and then, finally getting to that point in the book had me on the edge of my seat. I’m glad that Lucy said no. I believe it added the extra layer of chaos that seems to be the MO for this book.

Overall, I enjoyed this wild ride. I enjoyed their love story, and love that it is the completion of the Bridgerton saga with Gregory having 9 children — one more than the OG family.

A fun read, but suffers a bit because we don't know Gregory as well as we got to know the other Bridgerton siblings before their books. So at the start of the book Gregory is a bit of a cipher. But he's a fun POV, as is Lucy, and I did enjoy the little "In which our Hero and Heroine..." segments at the start of each chapter. A fun way to replace Whistledown columns or the letter excerpts that Quinn used in previous books.

This was also one of the books that felt like it had actually high stakes - this and Romancing Mister Bridgerton. You genuinely worry for the characters, and there's a suitable amount of dramatic action at the climax of the story. Now, on to the next!

I read this one in about a day and a half while riding the subway. Years ago I read an earlier book in this series (that I didn't mind!) and then Netflix bought up the rights and has exploded in pop culture. So after my mom gave me this book I thought I would read it. Overall felt like a paint by numbers romance novel with two leads who did not actually seem to have much chemistry. I did laugh at the twist at the end with the evil uncle. Classic. Should have seen it coming.

So there was a little more drama in this one, which I wasn't really expecting for the last of a really formulaic series. Enjoyable as always.
