The cutest book ever!!!! And the fact it’s a hockey romance makes it a 1000x better.

I loved loved loved Jamie and Pippa. Also Daisy the cutest dog ever. I loved reading about how Jamie fell in love with Daisy and would miss her on away games, like if that’s not the greenest flag I don’t know what is. Also the fact that Pippa and Jamie both had a crush on each other in high school, I WAS SCREAMING!!!!! I loved all the cute scenes with the mix of some serious and funny moments.

Jamie’s past made me so so sad for him, the way he had to grow up so early and take care of his mom, my heart melted.

"I'd do it forever if it wouldn't break my heart."

Firstly, I want to thank Stephanie Archer for allowing me to ARC read this amazing book!
You guys, when I tell you that this book is just the perfect balance of sweet and spicy, I am not joking. This story is one of my new favorites - and OF COURSE it's a hockey romance!!

The book follows Pippa Hartley, a girl who is struggling with the idea of what she wants to do with her life - does she want to follow the safe route that her parents have planned for her, or does she want to pursue her dreams? Enter Jamie Streicher. This man, y'all, WHEW! He is the star goalie on his hockey team and will forever be the goalie of her heart *sniffles!*. This gorgeous hunk of a man teaches our dear heroine to build the confidence she deserves while letting her shine in her own light. It is absolutely killing me to hold back on this review because this story needs to be broadcasted everywhere!! Pippa & Jamie. That's all I have to say. That's it. That's the review.

Tropes: Hockey, slow burn, grumpy sunshine, a hint of second chance romance, and forced proximity <3

It’s honestly a cute book. Every character is likeable (except her ex boyfriend, Zach) but nothing special. Everybody gets a happy ending. It’s a little repetitive, cringe at times and quite predictable. I managed to push through and finish it. It’s one of those books where if it catches you in a good mood you’ll love every second of it but if you aren’t having the best day you’ll want to claw your eyes out.

I've just read this whole book in a day. I was reading it in a hospital waiting room at one point and smiling at some of the banter and internal dialogue and realised I probably looked inappropriate. Still.

Loved Pippa and Jamie. Their development as characters and their relationship felt organic and natural.

Loved the steam, loved the dialogue. Loved the plot.

I'd say it was a bit too long, the end sort of tailed off a bit, but I can't wait to get my hands on another by this author.

This is a perfect spicy romance! I mean, who doesn't like a well-written, steamy, hockey romance?! I loved the chapters that alternate POV so we see just how much Pippa and Jamie are secretly yearning for each other. I was pleasantly surprised that there was no third act breakup that the had to overcome. The issues of depression and anxiety were treated with respect. I look forward to reading the rest of the Vancouver Storm series!
