Fun mystery, but terrible last chapter on the aftermath.

I would say this one was one of her most predictable ones so far. Though not less enjoyable. The ending just annoyed me too much for me to give it more than three starts. And when I say ending, I mean the very last chapter.

Another wonderful outing by Poirot! If the final scene in the novel didn't exist, my rating would be higher... Agatha Christie sure did love a nice romantic ending, even when
the male lead literally attempted to murder his female love interest by strangulation.
Still, as always I thought the twists and turns were exciting and clever, and the characters felt well-developed and interesting!

If you commit murder and Hercule Poirot turns up, you should probably just give up immediately.

A very captivating mystery, told in a very different way than her usual storytelling method. Poirot didn’t even show up until at least halfway through (excluding the prologue). I was intrigued and enjoyed myself a lot. Though it could definitely do without the last chapter.
All that was very dampened by the final chapter. L It’s a terrible resolution to the storyline of the most interesting character arc for me, and quite frankly a little backward and horrifying. Do since people really think that way? Better the monster you know than anything else?? Horrifying.
