New to me author!
Very inventive way to use ginger! unbeknownst to Amara she’s been misled by her legal guardian for years! and one assignment led to the very man she has been craving.
The events that take place as a result is an explosion of new awakening, revelation of years worth of secrets and lies and a new discovery and new beginning.
This was an easy read and kept my attention, unsure if I would call it ‘dark romance’ but it was enjoyable to read.

A strict daddy and an assassin little
A DDlg book slightly on the darker side than most.
When Amara is tasked with assassinating the man she’s always had a crush on she falters and when it goes wrong he takes things into his own hands and punishes her as if she’s his little and he’s her Daddy. Only as punishments go they both quite like that role and it becomes more than just a 24 hour punishment.
Whilst this book focusses on a more strict bdsm version of the DDlg lifestyle with lots of punishments there are some sweet and tender moments too.

Interesting premise but not enough character development so we get spanks instead. The h Awas taken in by her uncle and trained to be an assassin. After her most recent kill she is tasked with offing her childhood crush the H Emilio. He blocks her attempt and holds her captive. She fabricates a tale that she was just giving him a sedative so she could rob him for fun. Emilio has a different kind of fun in mind. Daddy kink/ little play. There was actually more plot than I was expecting. The daddy kink is fine but the little play is not

These types of stories are my guilty pleasure reads. I hate reading third person, but it was tolerable in this book. I also wished this story was longer, but I enjoyed it all the same.

Very much enjoyed this one, unable to put it down, however, I will say that I am not sure with the categorisation of it as a dark romance...definitely on the lighter side of a dark romance which is not a bad thing.

Not really sure how to put this. This was someone’s deep rooted fantasy. I know some people are actually into this kind of kink, but this was just cringy, and off putting to me.
The whole daddy punishing a grown ass woman dressed down was so awkward to read. The “butler”, “first hand man” also playing into this was just weird.
Again, I understand this is/was someone’s fantasy, but this was absolutely not for me.
I did if. I finished it. It made me so uncomfortable.

Amara est envoyé par son ongle Gio pour assassiner Emilio, un membre respecté de la mafia. Elle se rend chez lui, lors d’une fête, à contrecœur, car elle a toujours apprécié Emilio. Elle échoue à le tuer, et il décide de la garder captive en attendant de comprendre son but. S’ensuit un rp de Daddy/Lg très poussé, .
J’ai apprécié pour le côté un peu choquant et taboo, mais j’étais quand même un peu mal à l’aise à certains moments. J’ai globalement apprécié, mais je n’ai pas ressenti d’attachement particuliers aux personnages.
