Nothing happened in this sequel. It read like a first book in a series, as if it were setting things up when the first book was supposed to do that. I'm not really excited for the third book and I don't even know if I'll pick it up. We'll see. 1.5 stars for me on this one.

This book is disappointing. The first half of the book was uneventful and when something happened, it ended way too fast or too easy.
I don’t understand why the author included a seance-scene but then...NOTHING HAPPENED!

I’m sooo confused with the way the sirens are acting—first they didn’t listen to reason, then they did?? Aren’t they supposed to be monsters?

And the ending was so rushed and anticlimactic—especially when they were fighting the sirens. I don’t know, the scenes seemed almost comical to me.

What it's about: Gemma disappeared with the three girls, and now she has to get used to life as a siren. Harper, Daniel and Alex set out to find her.

What I thought: For me, Lullaby was a lot better than Wake was. The characters improved and the story-line had more oomph. This time around, Gemma is living with the others sirens in another small town, in a stolen beach house. Gemma is having trouble ignoring the call of the sea, and it's taking it's toll. Harper is desperately searching for any sign of where Gemma could be, and is ready to give up when she finds something. I feel like Harper is different in this book somehow - she begins to change, to fight. It was refreshing.

We learn more about the sirens, there curse, and what happened previously in their lives. Still, Daniel was my favourite part of this story too. I must say, I am looking forward to reading more of this series, because I am intrigued to see where it goes!

The Good: The characters don't annoy me as much - Huzzah!

The Bad: I'm still not 100% that I love this story. It can be a hit and miss at times.

an excellent sequel to Wake. I enjoyed going back to Harper and Gemma's world. Plus we get to know the story behind the Sirens, and even though we are left with a bunch of new questions. I can't wait to delve more into mythology and what is going on in Capri. Again, Amanda Hocking has proven herself a great writer upon my eyes.

I really wanted to give this book at least three stars, but I honestly spent the last 40% of the book just skipping through unnecessary text. Nothing really happened for the majority of the book, probably due to the fact it covered about a week in real time. I wouldn't recommend this unless you were really attached to any of the characters, because the plot was really flimsy. The most concrete comment I can make about Gemma and her sister's plans are that they genuinely have no clue what's going on. It's a bit disappointing to be honest.

Also, I just genuinely don't know why people like Harper. She's controlling, judgemental, and nit picky. She's not a bad person, but she's definitely not someone I really care to read about. I pretty much skimmed all the chapters she had with Daniel because while I like him, I couldn't care less if they get together.

wasn't as good as Wake, the first in the trilogy, but the story is good enought that i'll read the third one when it comes out this Spring. Think i mentioned this author's zombie series - the hollows before, but i enjoyed it more than this one.

Okay, so now I have to read the next part to know, what is happening to Daniel.
Okay, got it
But with all seriousness - I'm really enjoying these books and although it's almost 2AM, I want to continue reading as soon as possible.
