A fun friends to lovers romance. Nothing particularly fresh or exciting but an easy read all the same. I'm curious about some of the side characters and am interested in reading more by this author

I'm usually not a big fan of college romance, but this book made up for it a little bit.

Noah has a hard time studying but loves the partying life and play hockey; Kaylee is a virgin and lives a straight laced bookworm life and has been Noah's best friend since forever. He needs her, she helps him, feelings develop and.... won't tell more lolll

This is a best-friends-to-lovers- college romance story that's very well written, aptly titled, with great characters living real situations with a good set or friends; add a little drama, some sexy intimate scenes and you have a good book that can be read in one shot, without putting it down.

I was given an ARC for this book in exchange of an honest review.

Well done Eddie! I loved this best friends to lovers romance. Noah and Kaylee have been best friends forever and are now at the same college. Noah is the all star super hot hockey player who has puck bunnies lined up. They know the score, it's a one time no strings hookup. Hockey is his whole life. Kaylee is the nerdy bookworm who needs her tutoring job to supplement her scholarship. She has not time for parties, or guys. She spends all her time working or studying. Noah finds out, after an unfortunate mishap with his professors daughter, that he must pass his bio test or he fails the class...which will keep him off the ice. He turns to Kaylee for help, not realizing the crush she has had on him for years. What starts out as study sessions turns into way more than they bargained for, but they find they can't stay away form each other. Great story line, awesome supporting characters, I just loved this!

Overall I liked the story

The biggest issue I had with the book was it could have used some minor content editing. For example apparently Etta was once named Isla either that or they stole Isla's car to pick up drunk hockey players without actually introducing her as a character. And Betty's age was wonky. Noah took her to to her Junior Prom near the beginning of the book but at the end of the book she's getting ready to start her junior year of high school and still enjoys chasing fireflies with 10 year olds. Also let's explain why the girl who never breaks the rules can be served in a bar at age 20 without actually owning a fake id since by her own admission she doesn't break rules. There were quite a few little continuity errors like that which I'm sure a lot of readers wouldn't notice but its the type of little thing that drives me nuts. Grammar, punctuation and spelling were great, but it definitely needs content editing to weed out the small stuff like that.

I liked that the epilogue wasn't draft day or their wedding or the birth of their first child when there's a lot that comes between figuring out your first real relationship in college and an adult's married with the children. Also in not having that epilogue it breaks the stereotypical epilogue of the college athlete romance.

I would have liked more time with the characters as most readers would in a book they enjoyed but that's the point, overall I really enjoyed the story.

It’s the lack of solid editing for meeeee~~~

I honestly didn’t entirely hate the book. But this exact plot has definitely been done waaayyyy better (cough cough go read the Off Campus series — The Deal! )

My favorite part was when the Noah’s best friend saves him a seat in science class in the first chapter. And then never attends class ever again.
