I loved this book. I vaguely remember when it all was happening, but didn't know enough to know much of anything else about it I personally felt that it was a little to harsh on Tad Robert's LDS religion, I too am LDS, and I haven't stolen moon rocks, so I don't think it is reasonable to correlate his LDS religion with his actions. The other thing I thought was odd, after finishi1ng the book I went on google to see the accounts from the actual press (always a sign of a good non-fiction book, wanting you to research and learn even more!) For some reason everyone but Tad' name had been changed. Not sure why? Those to things aside, everything else I absolutely loved. It read like a suspense novel, not a non-fiction story. Highly recommend it.

Mezrich tries really hard, but this story ultimately boils down to a self-centered kid making bad choices and then being shocked it didn’t turn out for him. It’s interesting in the sense of explaining how the crime was pulled off, but ultimately it’s just not terribly satisfying.

I loved this book. It reads like a fiction. I can honestly see why Thad would have wanted to take the "trash" moon rocks but still rules are rules. But then again aren't rules ment to be broken?

I thought this book would be more interesting than it was. I highly doubt that a man as intelligent as Thad seems to be would really not consider the possibility of jail time for his actions. He knew what he was doing was more than just a mental game and harmless prank. Unless he is truly a sociopath which he may be. I could not believe that he expected some kind of help or sympathy from his wife he basically abandoned and cheated on.

Yes yes, I know Ben Mezrich is a ridiculous writer and it was mostly nonsense, but I must say, it's a fast, fun summer read and exceptionally entertaining. I bet the inevitable movie will be great.

I'm not sure which makes me madder, that this idiot Thad Roberts stole the moon rocks from Nasa, that somebody felt the urge to write about this theft, or that I actually read Sex on the Moon. Really didn't enjoy this book and if it wasn't because it was a book club selection, I wouldn't have finished it. The main character is just such an idiot - one of those people who somehow don't think the rules apply to them. And I mean really, you're going to give up everything just because of a girl you've known for a month? I'm done - I don't want to waste any more time or energy on this book.

Seems like I enjoyed this book more than most of the reviews I read. I do agree that it'd make a great movie. I'm honestly surprised I heard nothing about Thad before this, as I lived in Tampa during the time he would have been at Orient Road!

The only minor complaint I have is that the book started out with his letter to Rebecca, and says her name, and then we meet Thad and his wife Sonya. While most long distance relationships fizzle out, I took it as a dead giveaway that the two of them weren't going to make it work.
