Alejandro Martinez

Wow. Ladies and gentleman..... Alejandro Martinez. That's a form of twisted I have never read about but damn glad I did. GREAT. I laughed. I cried. I was shocked. I got pissed. I felt the hurt. I felt the pain. But I felt the good. I felt the happy. I felt the calm. I was yelling at the computer at work because of it. Well done M. Robinson. Well done.

I don't even know what to say.
I feel like I've been through the emotional ringer.
Love him. Hate him. Love him again. Hate him again and want to cause bodily harm.
My poor heart couldn't keep up.
I'm now suffering from emotional whiplash.

This book was like every other M Robinson book.
You need your big girl knickers on.
A glass of strong alcohol.
Tissues at the ready.
And painkillers for the emotional whiplash.

But to me this book was everything.
From the moment I met Martinez in Crave me I just knew I was going to love him.
Don't know why considering he spends most of the time being a huge A-hole.
But apparently that's the appeal to me.
Whatever you go into this book thinking, chuck it out the bloody window because it will be so much more.

I lived and breathed El Diablo for a day straight.
Other than work commitments I was all up in the Devils business.
Wants to know what the F is going on, why my heart was hurting and why I put myself through it.
But in the end, it's what I live for.
Books to keep your blood pumping.

Lexi.
Oh that girl has some brass balls.
Stepping up to El Diablo. The Devil and calling him out on his sh*t.
This girl couldn't be broken.
Bent nine ways to Sunday but when she thought she was broken she got back up and you know what.
She stood up to Martinez when bigger men couldn't.
Brass balls, I'm telling you.

All in all I'm a bloody mess of emotions.
My stomach is still in knots.
My heart is confused with the whiplash and I'm pretty sure my brain is fried.
But damn I have one big smile on my face.

M Robinson you truly are the Angus Queen and I bow to you and give you my heart in a wooden box for you to torment a little more with your upcoming books.

*picks self off the floor*
*dusts self off*
*picks up the remains of my broken heart and glues them back together*

I love a good alpha, dominating, anti-hero & this book did not disappoint! This was the first book I've read by this author & I have to say, I was really impressed. I loved how the storyline started off when Alejandro Martinez was a teenager & progressed to where he is now. As a feared crime boss. The author did a great job showing how Martinez is who is, why he is that way & the events that made him into El Diablo. Not only was this story well written, it was sexy as hell! I also loved Lexi. She was a spitfire, really held her own & did not back down. Especially against Martinez. I have to say, who Lexi is threw me for a loop. I thought I had it figured out but, nope! The author did a great job with that little twist! This book is an amazing book, sexy AF & well written. I can't wait for the next book in this series!

I have mixed emotions about this book because the storyline - and mostly the devil himself - was all over the place. The story was gripping and had me constantly intrigued but I never felt his love for anyone in the whole story other than right at the end. We do eventually find out why he acted like he did but still, the whole rest of the book I was like why TF are you acting like such a douche?? The ending was really good when it all came together though, and it made me want to read more from some of the other characters. We shall see...

Read it for work and it was very fucked up and just so not what I’m into but I was still hooked? I cared but I didn’t — it was less disturbing than the sinner/saint situation though

Good book

Spoilers****
I loved this book, except for 1 thing. It wasn't the age difference, it wasn't the abuse....it was the fact I spent a majority of the story thinking that Lexi was his daughter. I can read about dark subjects, I can read about certain taboo subjects...but good lord that almost ruined the book for me. Other than that I thought it was a very good book.
