Can't say I've read very many Slavic-centered historical fiction books, but if this doesn't capture the Polish culture and soul of a nation then I don't know what could.

This novel is all adventure and romance, and it is truly exciting. Along the way, you learn something about 17th century Polish history.

babes- loved the plot, but more importantly loved the man, the legend himself jan skrzetuski, charming outstanding heart-stopping gut-wrenching the one and only man 4 me (except maybe kmicic, ale już nie jestem pewna kogo wolę)
