Terrific "bible" for pregnancy and it covers every situation and individual including all those terrible things that can go wrong. Highly recommend for anyone who ever believes that may want to have children. It really helps you prepare for the reality of everything.

Really not all it's cracked up to be. The author seems to think that you should walk on pins and needles if your pregnant.

Duh. I needed to read this because many pregnancy books or advice are in conversation with this one. It's well-organized and is giving me a lot of insights and "things to expect" so that I don't feel surprised or troubled at every turn.

Read the 5th edition- lots of great information. Didn't like how the author "talked down" to the reader at times.

I picked this up because it’s the most well known pregnancy book. It’s very comprehensive and my philosophy is “the more info the better”, so that didn’t bother me. That being said, most of the same week to week information was delivered to me via the various pregnancy apps that are popular now. The q&a segments can also be found online. I don’t regret buying this, but if someone was on the fence for some reason I wouldn’t consider it a necessity.
