I didn't like the main character, or her husband, or her alternate past boyfriend, so it was pretty much impossible for me to get into this book.

I wasn't expecting to like this as much as I did or for it to be quite as emotional as it was. I didn't like Jill much, but her journey of self-discovery was one I appreciated. Watching Jill go back and get a do over to answer her "what ifs" was so interesting and even better she finds SHE is the problem and SHE has the power to change herself. My biggest disappointment was the ending... it just kind of glosses over the actual character development- one day Jillian realizes her old life is what she wants and then suddenly she is back in the new life and everything has worked out. I especially missed seeing a resolution between Jillian and her mother. I think that scene in particular would have filled in the gaps I felt upon finishing the book. I'm also happy to find a new chick lit author to follow who writes motherhood so well. I teared up every time Katie was mentioned. Not sure I would have gotten this book the same pre-motherhood.

Like Emily Giffin's Love The One You're With, but with time travel.

Well, it wasn't as cheesey as I thought it was going to be. I read it because I felt I could relate to the character in that she lived in her past. It was a decent read. I'm not sure why so much cussing was involved. It didn't seem to make sense with the character, and was very off-putting.

SpoilerI wanted her to be happier in her past and just stay there. But I was also satisfied with the way she ended up finding her way back.

The ending came at you with break-neck speed. Just out of nowhere, suddenly you were face to face with it. A bit deus ex machina, but I suppose the whole book was.

We all have those 'what if' we had chosen differently scenarios from our own lives. Jillian has the chance to find out. Of course, in the end, there's no place like home. Not sure I agree with the ending twist, but I won't spoil that here.

It was just okay. I was excited to read as I'm a sucker for the "if you could go back and redo, what would you do" kinda theme. This book just didn't click for me. The story just kind of plodded along and I felt the ending was rushed.
