Excellent novel & one I am sure to re-read many times.
Whether it be the psychological depth to the characters to the philosophical ideas presented by Raskolnikov, just an excellent well rounded novel.
At times with the way Dosteovsky writes his dialogues for the characters, it can seem more like a play than a novel like when a character would go on a 3 page philosophical soliloquy.
The ending was beautiful & so fitting. If you didn't end up falling in love with Sonya by the end I don't know how that's even possible. The links to Christianity & with Sonya embodieing the christian ideals in many ways whether that be through endless charity & helping the ones least looked after, whether that be the prisoners & in particular Raskolnikov.
Dosteovsky's prediction during the last part of the book in relation to Russia's future was also shockingly accurate.
It had it's slow & fast bits but overall it'd be difficult to call it anything other than a masterpiece & a book well deserved to be regareded as a classic.

Docking a 0.5 just because it didn’t change my life like The Brothers Karamazov. Raskolnikov is still my #1 little murderous silly guy tho
